A Note from NASW Maine:
We stand in solidarity with you during these challenging times.
We are closely monitoring the constant barrage of executive orders impacting all aspects of the social work profession. Working alongside the National Office and other NASW chapters, we are committed to creating advocacy opportunities and distributing critical information to support you in your work. In these uncertain times, we are dedicated to providing resources that equip social workers with the knowledge and tools needed to stand strong and make your voices heard for yourselves and the communities you are serving.
We recognize that social workers are at the forefront of advocating for those most in need, and we will continue to amplify your voices. We also want to encourage you to prioritize your own wellness and needs during such troubling times. Please, take care of yourselves too!
As we prepare for Social Work Month this March, we embrace this year’s theme of "Compassion + Action," and we look forward to creating space for these values as they guide our collective efforts moving forward.
