Maine PACE

The Political Action for Candidate Election (PACE) committee provides a way for NASW ME to make campaign contributions to candidates and organizations on the local level. This committee is primarily focused on electoral activities aimed at supporting specific candidates who promote or espouse NASW policies. We particularly enjoy endorsing and contributing to social workers running for office. Only NASW Members may make contributions and only NASW ME PACE Members can vote on endorsements and contributions - but we appreciate member input and insights as you know your local politicians.

NASW is nonpartisan, but we are not politically neutral.  We support candidates who support our mission and values, and oppose those who do not.

Your NASW ME PACE Committee Members:

• Julie Schirmer, NASW ME Chapter Board President
• VACANT

We need NASW ME members who are interested in becoming more active in legislative and election issues to reach out and join our PACE committee!
